MANAGEMENT
The tournament shall be managed and controlled by the tournament committee constituted by the “SEHWAG CRICKET ACADEMY”.
VENUE
All the matches shall be played on different grounds Delhi-NCR and Jammu.
GROUPS
Teams will be divided in to 5 groups. Each team will get to play a total of 6 League matches.
ELIGIBILITY
Only academy or school teams consisting of players Under 14 years of age are allowed to participate. The cut-off date of birth for each participant is 01-01-2002 and any player born before the cut-off date will not be eligible to participate in the tournament. In no case relaxation will be permitted either in respect of age, which will be 14 years (up to 1st Jan) In case of protest on any particular player there will be a medical screening done by reputed panel of doctor’s. The management committee will get his medical test done and based on the test report his participation will be decided. In such a case; the documents submitted by the participant as age proof will have no standing.
SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS
A list of 15 players along with their photographs with valid proof of the date of birth shall have to be submitted at earliest. There will be a screening of documents done by the management committee to ascertain the age and if committee finds a player is over age he will not be permitted to play in tournament.
Duration
The bowling side needs to complete their 20 overs in 80 minutes. Strict penalties will be imposed on teams not completing their allotted 20 over’s in the agreed time.
Interval
The interval between innings shall be 20 minutes.
Number of over’s per bowler
A bowler can bowl a maximum of four over’s. In a delayed or interrupted match, no bowler may bowl more than one fifth of the total over’s allowed, unless such a number has been exceeded before the interruption.
Fixtures
Fixtures will be finalized by 15th of March and any change will only be acceptable if all teams of the group agree to do so. If a fixture cannot be played due to bad weather, the fixture will not be rescheduled and the participating teams will each be awarded equal point and unavailability of a team will give point to the opponent team.
Free Hit
If the bowler bowls a no-ball as a result of overstepping, the next ball shall be a Free Hit. For this ball, the batsman is not given out apart from being run-out. No fielding changes can be made for this Free Hit.
Restrictions on the placement of fieldsmen
a) At the time of delivery, there may be not more than 5 fieldsmen on the leg side. b) Additional fielding restrictions shall apply to the first 6 overs of each innings (Field Restriction Overs). During the Fielding Restriction Overs only 2 fieldsmen shall be permitted outside the field restriction area (marked area of the field) at the instant of delivery. During the remaining 14 overs (non Fielding Restriction Overs), no more than 5 fieldsmen shall be permitted outside this fielding restriction area.
Ball
Standard white cricket balls are to be used in the tournament. In the event of a ball during play being lost or in the opinion of umpire being unfit for play, the umpire shall allow it to be replaced.
Dress
Organizing committee will provide color dress, same dress should be worn during all matches.
Umpire
There will be neutral umpires for all matches and umpire decision shall be final. Anytime if the umpires are unable to make decision, tournament committee will make the decision.
League Stage Point
Win : 4 Points Tie or No Result : 2 Points Loss : 0 Points In the event of team finishing on equal points in the points table at end of league, the position of the team will be decided as under 1: The team with the most number of wins. 2: If still equal, the team with the highest net run rate. The team with the highest points in the point table will qualify for the Quarter final from each group.
